Anna Minnie Bennett

Anna Minnie Bennett - 84, of Pereau, Kings County, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015 in the Halifax Infirmary Site of the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Framingham, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Daisy (Bennett) Cogswell. She was a long-time resident of Pereau and a member of Valley Cornerstone Assembly, Hillaton. She enjoyed knitting mittens for the children at Glooscap Elementary School, reading her Bible and Christian novels as well as spending Tuesdays with her two daughters. She is survived by two daughters, Dianne (Philip) Aptt, New Minas and Judy (Byrne) Crooks, Port Williams; three sons, Ed (Lee), Look Off, Bill, Bedford and Sonny (Donna), New Minas; three sisters, Jean (Howard) McCormick, Canning, Lorraine (Maynard) Guptill, Avonport, and Goldie Gerritse, Wilmot; three brothers, Charles, New Hampshire, Paul, Cambridge and John, Canaan; 11 grandsons, four granddaughters, 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Royal Bennett; a sister, Doris Dimock and an infant son, Dean. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2015 in the Valley Cornerstone Assembly, Hillaton, where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, Reverend David Elliott officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the Valley Cornerstone Assembly. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
