Scott Lloyd Walker

Scott Lloyd Walker - 51, of Coldbrook, Kings County, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, he was a son of Lloyd and Sharon (O'Regan) Walker, Grand Falls. He was a graduate of Acadia University, where he received a Bachelor of Recreation Management. He had been employed for over 30 years with Landmark East School, Wolfville, currently serving as Study Hall Coordinator as well as the Coordinator of Student Activities. He was a medical first responder with the Wolfville Volunteer Fire Department and was a first aid instructor with the Canadian Red Cross. He was the proud owner of Critical Response Life Saving Services and a certified CPR instructor with Brave Heart First Aid. Scott was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed walking and photography. He enjoyed spending summers at his parent's camp in Grand Falls at Rapid Brook Campground. He was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Kentville and volunteered with the Kings County S.P.C.A. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Tina (John) Kavanaugh, Belleville, Ontario; a brother, Derek (Chantal), Grand Falls; a niece, Lindsay; three nephews, Daniel, Zack and Miguel. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A memorial service, followed by a reception, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Father Craig Cameron officiating. Family and friends will be received at the O'Regan Funeral Home, Grand Falls from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2015, followed by funeral Mass to be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Grand Falls Assumption Parish. Donations in memory may be made to Landmark East School. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
