Emily Marie Huntley

Emily Marie Huntley - 95, of Scott's Bay, Kings County, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born in Scott's Bay, she was a daughter of the late Elwin and Bertha (MacDonald) Steele. She was a lifetime resident of the community of Scott's Bay. She was a member of the United Church of Canada, a member of the Scott's Bay Ladies Auxiliary, taught Sunday School, was a CGIT leader and taught DVBS. She was a member of the Haley Square Dancers and the Jolly Weekleys. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed a personal connection with the birds in the community. She always found time for horses and other livestock and was very interested in insects. Emily was a loving wife and was loved by the children of Scott's Bay. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Covert Huntley; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Milton. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a gathering, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Robin Foster officiating. Burial will take place in the Scott's Bay Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to Scott's Bay Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
