Shawn Michael Gordon Hickey

Shawn Michael Gordon Hickey - 27, of Waterville, Kings County, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at home. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of David Hickey, Waterville and Melinda (Vaughan) Stoddart, Kentville. He had been employed with Michelin Canada, Waterville. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Caleb Hickey, Cape Breton; a sister, Jessica Hickey, Kentville; a brother, Cody (Christine), New Minas; maternal grandparents, Orin and Gloria Rafuse, Canning; paternal grandmother, Geraldine Hickey, Canning; a step-sister, Jessie (Mark) Reid, Michigan, USA; a step-brother, David Stoddart, Clementsport. He was predeceased by  his common-law wife, Courtney Bell; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Anita Hickey; two step-sisters, Amie Stoddart and Tammy Stoddart (in infancy). Visitation will be held from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Cremation will follow. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2015, at the home of Darlene and Paul Doucette, 116 Charles Rand Road, Arlington, Kings County, NS.  A private family burial will take place in the Arlington Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Valley Regional Hospital Pediatric Unit. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
