Grace Emily Corkum - 84, of Hall's Harbour, Kings County, passed away with her husband by her side, Sunday, September 6, 2015 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Northville, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Rita (Steele) Magee. Grace received her CNA training at the former Nova Scotia Sanatorium, Kentville, then moved to Alberta and was employed at the Royal Alexander Hospital, Edmonton, and later worked in both Hinton and Peace River. She later returned to Nova Scotia and was employed at Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Upon her marriage to Harley, she dedicated her life, with great enjoyment, to being a homemaker and helping maintain the farm. Grace was also a longtime member of both the Billtown and Hall's Harbour Baptist Churches. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Harland "Harley" Corkum; a sister, Dorothy Valdron, North Bay, Ontario. She was predeceased by a sister, Blanche; two brothers, Earl and Ralph. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in the Billtown Baptist Church, Kings County, Reverend Gerald Zinck and Reverend Michael Shreve officiating. Burial will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County.  Donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses or the Hall's Harbour Baptist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
