Vivian Eileen Turner

Vivian Eileen Turner - 91, of Kentville, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in Shannex-Blomidon Court, Greenwich, Kings County. Born in Vernon Mines, Kings County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Bernice (Dunham) Barker. She was a graduate of Mack Business College, Kentville. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved music, poetry and shopping trips to Bangor, Maine. She is survived by three daughters, Deborah (Lawrence) Sangster, Grand Pré; Cindy Rogers, New Minas; Jane (Mike, and his daughters, Kim and Michelle) Badiuk, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan; a sister, Joyce (Harmon) Illsley, Kentville; five grandchildren, Michael and Lisa Sangster, Matthew, Andrew and Daniel Rogers; six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, George William "Red" Turner; a son-in-law, Victor Rogers; a granddaughter, Megan Pocha. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2015, Reverend Devin Johnstone officiating. Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Kings County S.P.C.A. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville.
