Ian Ross Smith

Ian Ross Smith - 60, of Lower Sackville, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 in The Sagewood Continuing Care Community, Lower Sackville. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Ruth (MacInnis) (Smith) Morris and the late Dr. Clarence Blakeney Smith. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Margot Clarke-Smith (David Hood), Mt. Uniacke; two nieces, Erin Alison Clarke and Sarah Jayne Clarke. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his step-father, Alan Morris. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 1, 2015 in the Fairview Cemetery, Halifax. Donations in memory may be made to the Schizophrenia Society.
