Dolores Rochelle Walsh

Dolores Rochelle Walsh - 77, of New Ross, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, with her family by her side. Born on August 21, 1938 in Chester Basin, she was the daughter of the late John and Edra (Borgald) Walsh. She was predeceased by her beloved brother, Eugene "Rabbit" Hare. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Karen Smith (Michael), Larry Reid (Cheryl), Sandra Reid (Miles Veinott), Laura Zinck (Ryan); grandchildren, Jennifer, Andrew and Daniela; Nicole and Kendra; Laura, Dean; several great grandchildren; niece, Karen and nephew, Michael Hare; stepson, Richard Thomson (Carol). All of them were her pride and joys. Her partner of 25 years, John F. Jones "Bad ol'King John" will miss his "pumpkchita". Dolores loved creating her gardens, and painting her unique style of art that is displayed by many from Nova Scotia to her second home in Bequia, West Indies where she escaped from our cold winters. Special thanks to Dr. Ben Heisler and the staff at Valley Regional Hospital Surgical and ICU wards and to Donald in ICU for making our Mom feel and look beautiful to the end with your special touches. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service, by her request. A family burial will take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the New Ross Volunteer Fire Department.
