In loving memory of Perry Wayne Spidle

 

Perry Wayne Spidle - 68, of Gaspereau Mountain, Kings County, passed away surrounded by family, Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Perry was the son of the late Wilfred and Verna (Croft) Spidle of Gaspereau and biological father, the late Harry Greenlund. Perry worked at Weavexx Canada, Kentville for over 40 years. In his younger years, Perry ran track and field. He continued his love of being active by running 5k races and swimming with the Acadia Masters Swim Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards on Saturday nights with the gang. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Faye (Atwell) Spidle; daughters, Lisa (Neil) McCorriston, Calgary, AB; Ronda (Anthony) McEachern, Wolfville; Vida Mae (Jeff) Lantz, Scott’s Bay; son, Bill (Melissa) Spidle, Gaspereau Mountain. Papa will be missed dearly by his grandchildren, Carson McCorriston, Faythe and Phoebe Lantz, Riely Whitman, Connor and Colby Spidle. He is survived by sisters, Margie (Kenny) Coldwell, Sharon (John) Schofield, Dawn Spidle, Wendy Spidle (Greg Coldwell), Faye (Alan) Sponagle; brothers, Ford Spidle, Hugh Spidle, Orville Greenlund, Nick (Terry) Hird; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by five sisters and one brother. As per Perry’s wishes there will be no visitation. Please join family and friends for a celebration of life reception on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. at the Gaspereau Community Hall. Donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
