Harry Stephen Jackson
1927-2016
Harry Stephen Jackson – 88, of Morristown, passed away April 20, 2016 in the Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Charles and Edith (King) Jackson. He was a veteran of the Second World War, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Kings Branch No. 6, Kentville and a member of The Black Watch. He worked as a painter and a dry dock worker in New Brunswick and was later employed as a carpenter. He is survived by his daughters, Judy Jackson, Berwick; Sheila Jackson, Edmonton, Alberta; son, Wayne Jackson, Kentville; brother, Laurie, Kentville; grandchildren, Frank, Cheryl, Terry, Tammy, Ronald, Donald, Michael, Charles, Kyisha, Tanikia and Shayla; 27 great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, Jade and Jax; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Eva (Stevens); sister, Kathleen Viner; brothers, Donald and Frank. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2016 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Cremation will take place. A combined Royal Canadian Legion Service and funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Burial will take place in the Hillaton Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
