Marion Lorraine Evans

Marion Lorraine Evans – 73, of New Minas, passed away April 21, 2016 at home. Born in Sheffield Mills, she was the eldest daughter of the late Scott and Margaret (Tupper) Martin. Up until her retirement she owned a local taxi company, Valley Cab. She enjoyed running her business, knitting and being with her family. She enjoyed fifteen years of travelling to Jamaica with her husband, Bill. She is survived by her son David (Amanda); grandson, Calum Woodworth; five step-grandchildren; one step son, Shaun (Aileen); step-daughters, Meghan (Tony) Martin; Melissa; brothers, Eugene (Heather) and Michael (Crystal); several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marion was predeceased by her husband, William "Bill"; sister, Linda Thomson. Upon Marion’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses, New Minas Fire Department or a charity of your choice.
