Michael Ralph Keddy
1961-2016
Michael Ralph Keddy – 54, of Canning, Kings County, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of Irene Spicer, Canning and Aubrey Keddy, South Alton. He was a self-employed carpenter, recently working in Northern Alberta and locally with Synergy Farms. He was an active, lifelong member of the community. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his partner of many years, Barbara Hewey; two sons, Jared Keddy, Kingsport and his mother, Linda; Jacob Keddy, Canning and his mother, Dawn; three step-daughters, Nicole and Renee, both of Canning; Brittney, Alberta; a step-son, Brandon, Canning; two brothers, Brian (Tanya), Canning; Terry (Cathy), Alberta; two nephews, Andrew and Parker; five grandchildren. He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Ralph B. and Pauline Spicer; paternal grandparents, Harry and Hilda Keddy. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2016 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Donald Rafuse officiating. Following the service, an informal gathering to celebrate Michael’s life will take place at Houston’s Beach, Blomidon. Donations in memory may be made to the Boy Scouts of Canada, Kings Branch. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
