Debra Lynda Ross

Debra Lynda Ross – 66, of Coldbrook, Kings County, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Todd and Geraldine (Lake) Ross. She was a dedicated and hard working employee of the Nova Scotia Department of Community Services, retiring with 42 years of service. She enjoyed needle- work, her camp, being by the water and most recently, tending her gardens, reading and her beloved pets. She is survived by her partner of 27 years, Doug Covey; a granddaughter, Amber Townsend, Kentville (her mother, Rhonda Medicraft); two sisters, Eleanor (Ardie) Saltzman, Kingston; Ann Marie (Ken) Bottomley, Timmins, Ontario; four brothers, Richard (Anna May), Fred (Wendy) and Bob (Sharon), all of Kingston; Arnold (Yvonne), Dartmouth; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Paul, John and Ron. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A memorial service celebrating Debra’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 23, 2016 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Family flowers only, by request.
