Vernon Selvyn Faulkenham

1939-2016

Vernon Selvyn Faulkenham

Vernon Selvyn Faulkenham – of Kentville, was born on December 22, 1939 and passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Vernon has gone to join his brothers Elwood and Oswald in heaven, along with his favorite pal, Prince. Left behind are his wife of 49 years, Carol; his son, Kevin (wife, Phyllis and grandchildren, Crystal and Corey) and his mother, Irene E. Faulkenham (100 years of age). Vernon was a top-notch mechanic by trade but capable of many trades shown in his home buildings. He was a perfectionist and put his best into whatever he did. He shared his love with all the canine pals his wife brought home and they in turn. He had a love of cars, woodworking and enjoying coffee at Tim’s and McDonald's with friends. He is also survived by brother-in-law, Richard (Betty) Swift and family; sisters-in-law, Shirley and family and Hope and family. He will be sorely missed by many good friends, neighbours and relatives. By his request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Kings County SPCA, the Valley Regional Hospital Palliative Care or the charity of your choice. Special thanks to our family doctor, Dr. Rob Gunn for the superb care over many years. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
