Floyd Osborne Croft

Floyd Osborne Croft – 83, of Greenfield, Kings County, passed away on Saturday, July 16 2016 in the Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Greenfield, he was a son of the late Elery and Phoebe (Atwell) Croft. Floyd worked for 39 years as a plumber for H.B.M. Mechanical, Wolfville, from where he retired. He enjoyed woodworking, sketching and making wooden models. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Charlotte (Brown); a son, Marty (Darla), Coldbrook; a daughter, Lisa (Philip) Davidson, Hantsport; four grandchildren, Candice (Devon), Katelin (Nathan), Andrew (Jessica) and Samantha (Michael); three great grandchildren, Madilyn, Xander and Zoey; brother, Malcolm "Mickey" (Neta), Greenwich and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Marietta Schneider and Gertrude Brown. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016 in the Greenfield Cemetery, Kings County, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the Greenfield Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
