Sarah "Sally" McIntyre

Sarah "Sally" McIntyre – 89, formerly of Canning, Kings County, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 in Shannex-Orchard Court, Kentville. Born in Reserve Mines, Cape Breton, she was a daughter of the late Wilson and Margaret (Rennie) McIntyre. She had been employed for almost 30 years with Scotiabank, Canning. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Canning and loved to bowl, both casual and league. She is survived by two sisters, Helen Rooney and Isabelle MacPherson, both of Kentville; a niece, Brenda Rippon and a nephew, Daryl Rooney, both of whom she helped raise. She was predeceased by a sister, Agnes Spicer; three brothers, Archibald, Norman and Robert. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2016 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2016, Reverend Ivan Norton officiating. Burial will take place in the Jaw Bone Corner Cemetery, Canard. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
