Catherine Marion Vaughan

Catherine Vaughan, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister-in–law, aunt and friend, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 in North Queens Nursing Home in Caledonia at the age of 81 years. All those who knew Catherine will remember her for her gentle spirit and her warm smiles. Formerly of Greenwich, Kings County, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Beulah (Mills) Seaman. Over the years she had been employed with McCully’s Photo Studio, Simpson Sears, Eatons and Don’s Fish Market. She is survived by a daughter, Marion (Maurice) Parent, Kentville; a son, Douglas (Mary), Molega Lake, Lunenburg County. She is also survived by three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Reta Seaman, Kentville and a niece, Sandra (Tony) Beckwith and their children. She was predeceased by her husband, Benjamin and her brother, Fred. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service and reception will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2016 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Private family burial will take place in the Willow Bank Cemetery, Wolfville. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the SPCA. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville.
