Beverly Ronald Guptell

Beverly Ronald "Bev" Guptell - 63, of New Minas, passed away Monday, September 5, 2016 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Blake Guptell and Lorna (Forsythe) (Guptell) (Young). He had been employed at the former White Spot Restaurant, New Minas, where he was a talented cook. A devoted family man, he was also caring, kind and affectionate. He is survived by a son, Tyler Guptell, Sheffield Mills; a step-daughter, Shawna (Adrian) Beaton, Kentville; former spouse, Kathy Harper, Sheffield Mills; two sisters, Brenda Ward, New Minas; Lynn Kane, Waterville; three grandchildren, Savannah Hamilton, Truro; Austin Beaton, Wolfville; Brittany Beaton, Kentville; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a nephew, Trevor Hatt. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
