Everett Randolph "Randy" Tarrant

Everett Randolph "Randy" Tarrant – 64, of Kentville, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016. Born on October 26, 1951 in Peter’s Arm, NL, he was a son of the late Douglas and Gertrude "Gertie" (Burt) Tarrant. Randy had been employed with General Motors, Carquest, and most recently, enjoyed working with Dena and Spencer Osmond at their business in Canning. He was a very social person who enjoyed food, having company, playing cards and dice games. He had a large circle of family and friends and loved caring for the family cat, Charles at the home of his niece, Dena and Spencer Osmond and their son, Kirkland. He is survived by five sisters, Florence (Vincent) Welsh, Botwood, NL; Eileen (Donald) Stuckless, La Scie, NL; Peggy Tarrant (Raymond), Maxine Stride (Derrick Luff) and Ina (David) Blake, all of Fort McMurray, AB; two brothers, Clayton (Juanita) Tarrant, Oshawa, ON; Freeman Tarrant (Judy Young), Point Leamington, NL; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Mildred Hancock, Goldie Barnes and Jessie Tarrant; a brother, Peter Reid. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A service for family and friends will be held at the home of his niece, Dena and Spencer Osmond at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 899 Gracie Drive, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
