Marilyn Diane Pineo

Marilyn Diane Pineo - age 74, of Hillaton, Kings County, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly at her home on September 25, 2016. Born on April 18, 1942 in Windsor, she was the daughter of the late Margurite and William Young. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was well known for her amazing baking skills and her love of sharing her creations with friends and family. She greatly enjoyed visits with her extended family and her door was always open to one and all. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Phillip; daughters, Wendy (Stephen) Taylor, Habitant; Wanda (Neil) McNeil, Kentville; son Michael (Betty) Pineo, Canard; grandchildren, Shannon (Matt) Phillips, Habitant; John (Reina) Taylor, Hillaton; Aron (Melissa) Taylor, Canning; Tara (Fraser) Caldwell, Habitant; Lindsey (Chris Moore) McNeil, Grande Prairie; Ryan (David Armitage) Pineo, Edmonton; Rick (Carla) Carter, Wedgeport; Mitchell (Emily) Carter, Kentville and Rebecca (Evan) Pineo, Look Off.  She is also survived by her sister, Julie (Rod) Hunter of Falmouth as well as thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Marilyn was predeceased by her daughter, Kelly (Brian) Carter and son Robert Pineo, in infancy. In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. There will be a celebration of life held on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the home of Shannon and Matt Phillips, 235 Aboiteau Rd, Canning, NS at which time friends and family will be invited to share memories of Marilyn’s life and listen to Elvis Presley songs which she greatly loved. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
