Dennis Wesley Eaton
1942-2016
Dennis Wesley Eaton – 73, of North Kingston, Kings County, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick and raised on Deer Island, New Brunswick, he was a son of the late Wesley and Winifred (Sirles) Eaton. He was a graduate of Acadia University where he received his teaching degree. His entire teaching career was spent at Dwight Ross Junior High School, Greenwood. Over the years, Dennis served as a director of Greenwood Minor Football, was a member of both the Kinsman and Lions Clubs and served as president of Paragon Golf and Country Club, where he was a Junior Development Rep for the N.S.G.A. He was also a member and president of the Middleton Curling Club and a member and former deacon of the Kingston Baptist Church. Dennis was an avid reader, loved working in the woods, watching his New England Patriots as well as riding his Gold Wing. He is survived by his wife, Audrey (Best); two daughters, Sara (Ryan) Harris, Morristown; Lori Eaton, Prince George, British Columbia; a son, William "Bill" (Barbara), South Farmington; a brother, Greg (Lana), Ajax, Ontario; two grandchildren, Ayden and JJ; a step-grandson, Thomas George. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016 in the Kingston Baptist Church, Reverend John Beers officiating. Burial will take place in the North Kingston Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Kingston Baptist Church or the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
