Diane Elaine Fox

Diane Elaine Fox - aged 74, of Kentville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Born in Birchtown, Shelburne County, on November 12, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Chesley and Eva Goulden. Diane (or "Lady Di" as she was affectionately known to her family) is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Paul Fox. She is also survived by brothers-in-law, Charlie (Jessie) Fox of Bayhead, NS, and Russell Fox of Halifax, as well as nephews, Jim and Stephen Fox, and nieces, Leah Fox and Stephanie (Greg Lummis), and grand niece, Maia Lummis. Diane had a life long faith in and love for her Lord and shared His gospel through her natural musical talents.   She loved to sing and play her guitar and in addition to hymns and gospel songs, she enjoyed entertaining with a variety of country music tunes. She was part of a small band with Paul Wood, and other local musicians who regularly got together to play at nursing homes and church events, including the Welcome Table at St. James once a month.  For several years on Christmas Day she and husband, Paul would entertain at the Soup Kitchen.  She will be missed. The family wishes to thank special friend, Kathy Marshall for the help and assistance provided to both Paul and Diane over the years, Rev. Cathy Pharo and St. James Church members, as well as Dr. and Mrs. Nunn, and the staff at the Valley Regional Hospital. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Rev. Catherine Desloges officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to Open Arms. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
