David Arthur Corkum

David Arthur Corkum - 81, of Scott's Bay Road, Kings County, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Harold and Mary (Rand) Corkum. He had been employed in farming in Blomidon and Delhaven and also worked as a mechanic for Lawrence Parker, Medford. He is survived by his second wife, Arlene (MacInnis), Liberty Lodge, Berwick; a daughter, Mary (Stanley) Robertson, Sackville; two sons, Harold (Donna), Scott's Bay; Martin, Scott's Bay; a sister, Leora Coles, Alberta. He was predeceased by his first wife, Clara (MacDonald) Corkum; two sisters, Myrtle Bennett and Isabelle Bennett; three brothers, Whitfield, Hollis and Sheldon. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016, Mr. Albert Clark and Mr. Gordon Eady officiating. Burial will take place in the Scott's Bay Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
