Ilene A. McCartney

Ilene A. McCartney - 102 of Halifax, Nova Scotia, formerly of Strathroy, Ontario. It is at this difficult time that the family of Ilene McCartney wishes to announce her passing on Monday, October 10, 2016. Born in Guelph, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Alice and Charles Mobey.  Predeceased by the love of her life, William E. McCartney in 1981. An independent woman, she had a love for all things in life but nothing was closer to her heart than her family and friends. Beloved mother of daughters, Anne Richelle, Halifax; Carol Ashford, St. Thomas; and son, David (Betty) McCartney, Barbados. Cherished grandmother of Roban, Bruce, Brian, Brad, Denise, Blair, Ryan, Lee and Susan. Great grandmother of Stephanie, Michael, Jennifer, Jacqueline, Tara, Taylor, Faith, Nerissa, Liam, Nicholas, Erin, Sean, Colin, Sadie, Madison, Avery, Forest, William, Heath, Evangeline. Great great grandmother of Robert. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Nova Scotia. A celebration of her life will be held on October 29^th at 2:00 p.m. in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 34 Head St., N, Strathroy Ontario. Private graveside service will be held in the Strathroy Cemetery.
