Myrtle Viola Lockhart

Myrtle Viola Lockhart - 94, of New Minas, passed away peacefully, Thursday, November 10, 2016 in the Wolfville Nursing Home. Born on February 7, 1922, in Telfordville, Alberta, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Annie (Crawford) Floden. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William John Lockhart; two sisters, Gertrude Slauenwhite and Freda Rough; a brother, Harold; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She is survived by her sister, Hazel (Marty) Brayman, Kemptville, Ontario. Her family remembers her as a special loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her children, Cecil (Mary) Lockhart, Archie Lockhart, Charles Lockhart, Eric Lockhart, Keith Lockhart, Rosanne Richards and Esther (Kevin) Bradley; 12 grandchildren, Andrew (Shawna), Anthony (Stephanie), Pamela, Steven (Mia), Duane (Jennifer), Duight (Cathy), Dumont (Kim), Robyn, Kyle, Amy, Katie and Jared; 19 great grandchildren, Josh, Hannah, Aiden, Ella-Jane, Luke, Taze, Noah, Nigel, Quinn, Jasmine, Jade, Milo, Ben, William, Sarah, Christy, Tory, Lauren and Brooklynn; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 and from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service and reception at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2016, all in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Mr. Wayne Hutchison and Miss Lucy Warren will officiate. Burial will take place in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
