Ethel Isabel Morrison

Ethel Isabel Morrison - 87, of Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown, formerly of Sydney Mines, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 13, 2016 in Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Middleton. She was born in Southside Boulardrie on January 20, 1929 to the late William and Catherine (Morrison) MacRae. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Kinnon; brothers, Alexander, Murdoch, John and Roddy; sister, Sadie Long; brother-in-law, Alex Long. She is also survived by many friends, cousins and nephews. Ethel spent her married life in Sydney Mines where she and Kinnon built their home overlooking Sydney Harbour. The grandchildren spent many hours enjoying watching the boats come and go with their grandparents. She was a homemaker all her life and enjoyed playing many musical instruments including her fiddle. She loved to have people in her home to feed and entertain. She moved from Cape Breton, first to Halifax, and then to Mountain Lea Lodge in Bridgetown. She enjoyed living there. The people and atmosphere were caring and friendly. She talked often of her friends there and we are very thankful for their care and attention. That was the ideal location and people for her and we are grateful. Family flowers only.
