Barbara Ann Chisholm

Barbara Ann Chisholm - 85, of Bridgewater, formerly of Cambridge, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Lunenburg on Nov 1, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Annis (Ernst) Byers. She was the loving wife to her husband of 55 years, and caring mother to her two children. With her infectious laugh and kind word for everyone, she will be remembered fondly by many for the friendships she cultivated throughout her life in Kentville, Montreal, Maine (USA), Cambridge, and Bridgewater. After retiring to Cambridge and building their dream retirement home, she enjoyed many years helping her husband with B&B Pine Shop. In 2003 she and her husband moved to Bridgwater where they made many friends at the Lahave River Yacht Club. Friday night socials were times she greatly enjoyed. Surviving to cherish many precious memories are her daughter, Pamela (Arthur) Smith, Bridgewater; son, Michael (Karyn), Topsham, Maine, (USA); sister, Marguerite, Berwick; sister-in-law, Kaye Byers, Kentville; numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by husband, John (Bun) in 2007; sister, Jean Stoddard and brother, Arthur Byers. There will be no visitation by family request. The graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 2:00pm in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. Memorial donations may be made to the Health Services Foundation of the South Shore, Bridgewater. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses on 4th floor Medical of South Shore Regional Hospital. Your professionalism and loving care will never be forgotten.
