Marjorie Elizabeth Zinck

In loving memory of Marjorie Elizabeth (Irving) Zinck - 95 of Kentville, who passed away Monday December 5, 2016 in Orchard Court-Shannex. Born in 1921 in Scotsburn, Pictou County, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Edward and Barbara Anna (MacKenzie) Irving. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She lived and received her education in Halifax and moved to Kentville in 1943 following her marriage to Walter Frederick Zinck of Chester. Always putting others first, Marge was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose love of family and friends was all enduring. She is survived by daughter, Marianne (Tim) McCormick, Wolfville; grandsons, Michael Glenn Hamlin, Coldbrook; Peter Owen (Apple) Hamlin, New Minas; Robert Brian (Christena) Hubbard, New Glasgow; great grandsons, Jayden Thibodeau, Sackville; Ethan and Owen Hamlin, New Minas; nephew, Peter (Leola) MacCulloch, Timberlea. Besides her husband she was predeceased by infant brother, Edward Ross; sister, Elinor (Vincent) MacCulloch; daughter, Barbara (Brian) Hubbard and nephew, Ross MacCulloch. Marjorie was a member of St. James Anglican Church, Kentville, a member of St. James Afternoon Guild, and previously volunteered with the B.F.M Hospital Auxiliary, Canadian Girl Guides Assoc., Canadian Red Cross and VON Meals-on-Wheels. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. Family flowers only by request. The funeral service and reception will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2016 in St. James Anglican Church, Kentville, Reverend Cathy Pharo officiating. Burial will take place in the Garden of Rest Cemetery, Parish of St. James, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to St. James Anglican Church, Kentville, VON Annapolis Valley, Canadian Red Cross or charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
