Michael Joseph Curran
Michael Joseph Curran – 58, of Waterville, Kings County, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of the late Hillary and Marguerite (Dill) Curran. He had been employed with Shur-Gain in Port Williams for 42 years. He enjoyed hunting and had a passion for fishing. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Kings Branch No. 6, Kentville and was an avid dart player. He is survived by two sons, James (Amanda Woodman), St. John’s, NL; Gerrit, Mount Denson; five sisters, Debbie Curran (Rick Miller), Wilmot; Margie (Allison) Reese, Waterville; Janet (Robert) Reese, Waterville; Nancy (Kenneth) Gould, Kingston; Catherine (Don) Balch, Aylesford; five brothers, James, New Minas; David (Deanna), Welsford; Raymond, Waterville; Robert (Crystal), Canning; Jeffrey (Trudy), Kentville; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Joyce "Pepper" Herman; a brother, Ronald "Mugsy". Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A Royal Canadian Legion service and prayers will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016 in the Royal Canadian Legion, Kings Branch No. 6, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville, Nova Scotia.
