Mitchell Ralph "Mitch" Houghton

Mitchell Ralph "Mitch" Houghton – 54, of Coldbrook, Kings County, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at home. Born in Centreville, Kings County, he was a son of Ralph and Ester (Haggerty) Houghton, Centreville. He was a Third Class Power Engineer and had been employed with Apple Valley Foods. Mitch was happiest when he was outdoors and had a love for hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancée, Toni Myles-Bennett; her daughter, Regan; two children, Robert (Marla Johnston) and Mandy (Justen) Page; two sisters, Twana (Bruce) Rafuse and Cheryl (Dale) Joyce; two grandchildren, Ava and McKenna; nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in the Kentville Baptist Church, Reverend Doctor David Bielby officiating. Donations in memory may be made to The Refuge. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville, Nova Scotia.
