Shirley Eileen Brewster

Shirley Eileen Brewster – 77, of Grand View Manor, Berwick, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. She was a daughter of the late John and Marjorie (Kane) Rogers. Shirley was known for her big smile and infectious laughter. To know her was to love her. Shirley spent the more recent years of her life in residential care homes due to her illness. Those places were where she created most of her loving friends and extended family. She was the light in everyone’s life. She loved to meet new people and never stopped finding ways to make you smile. She was kind, caring and loving to all. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by two daughters, Marjorie (Jim) Smith, Habitant; Margaret (Jamie) Spencer, Grafton; two sons, Brian (Tammy) Schofield, Black River; Stephen Schofield (Barb Kelly), Kentville; ten grandchildren, Josh, Tasia, Jonathan, Zachary, Jeremy, Tristan, Shelby, Lacey, Seth and Dawson; six great grandchildren, Grace, Breanna, Khloee, Ivan, Austin and Autumn; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ivan Schofield; her second husband, Scott Brewster; a son, Greg Schofield; three brothers, Gerald, John and Laurie "Hank". Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2017 in Grand View Manor, Berwick, Reverend Sarah Scott officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the Hillaton Cemetery, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to Grand View Manor or the Canadian Mental Health Association. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville, Nova Scotia.
