Please be advised that due to the inclement weather, the celebration of life and reception for the late Lois Ardath Eaton has been rescheduled to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville.

 

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of our dear mother, sister, aunt and friend Lois Eaton of Coldbrook NS. Lois was born April 11, 1934 in the small community of Phinney's Cove, Annapolis County, NS. The daughter of a fisherman and school teacher, she developed a firm grounding for the importance of family and the simple pleasures in life. Predeceased by her husband, Beecher; parents, Cecil and Glendean Young (nee Potter) and a daughter, Christine Louise. She is survived by her brothers, Shirley, Bridgetown; Billy (Deanna), Hampton; Carl (Audrey), Hampton and Gerry (Donna), Phinney's Cove; sons, Howard (Sharon), Kingsport and Andrew (Kathy), Digby; grandchildren, Scott, Nikolas, Kayla, Krista and Alan; great granddaughter, Quincie. Lois enjoyed reading, family, watching the birds at her feeders and watching Sid and the Pens. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her as she suffered through a debilitating breathing ailment for the last 15 years of life in a stoic and resolute manner. The family would like to thank the neighbours, Wayne, Pearl and Carol and a big thank you to Yvonne who all made it possible for mom to stay in her home and enjoy life. A celebration of her life and reception will take place at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday February 15, 2017 at the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Lung Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
