Robert Murray Arnold

Robert Murray Arnold - 84, of Grafton, Kings County, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2017 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Woodville, Kings County, he was a son of the late Brenton and Minnie (Lutz) Arnold. A life-long farmer, Robert was a breeder of purebred beef cattle and was a member of the Canadian and Maritime Limousin Associations. Over a forty year period, he took great pride in showing his purebred cattle and market steers, having received many awards. He was involved with 4-H, enjoyed horticulture, and as an accomplished gardener, excelled at growing many varieties of fruits and vegetables. He also loved summer vacations with his family, regardless of how busy they were on the farm. He is survived by sons, Kerwin (Leah) and John (Valerie); a sister, Marjorie Carty; grandchildren, Jevon (Kimberly Hiltz), Brenton and Stephen (Rebecca Dowe); great grandchildren, Carly and Ella; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Ardythe (Misner); a grandson, Daniel Arnold; a brother, Boyd. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Murray Shaw officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date in the East Black Rock Cemetery, Kings County. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the VON Annapolis Valley or a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
