Barbara Elizabeth McInnis

Barbara Elizabeth McInnis – 97, of Black River, Kings County, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 in the Wolfville Nursing Home. She was a daughter of the late Walter and Mildred (Rafuse) Schofield. She enjoyed being a homemaker and loved to knit, crochet, read and do puzzle books. She is survived by three daughters, Elaine Schofield and Madeline Harris, both of Black River; Marie McIntyre, Oromocto, NB; two sons, James Jr. and Joe, both of Black River; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, James; an infant son, Harry; a sister, Edna; three brothers, Donald, Malcolm and Keith; two sons-in-law, Rodney Schofield and Carl Harris. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2017 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the Black River Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Canadian Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
