Kathleen Annie LeBlanc

Kathleen Annie LeBlanc - 94, of Brooklyn Street, Kings County, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at home. Born in Port Williams, she was a daughter of the late Malcolm and Gladys (Spencer) Graves She is survived by her special companion, Bob Maskell; her children, Linda (Wayne) Marriott, Coldbrook; Gordon (Ethel) LeBlanc, Brooklyn Street; Paul (Barb) LeBlanc, Brooklyn Street, Gerald (Betty) LeBlanc, Coldbrook; Eva (Bill) Tibert, Brooklyn Street; Terry Leblanc, Lakewood Road; daughter-in-law, Wanda Leblanc, Steam Mill; a sister, Betty Brewster, Kentville; 19 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Kathleen was the happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends and she also had a great love for crocheting and baking.  Christmas was her favourite time of the year, when Christmas Eve gatherings in her home could range from 64 to 87 people.  She was predeceased by her husband, Edward, children, Juanita Johnson, Timothy LeBlanc, Edward LeBlanc and Nellie LeBlanc in infancy; sisters, Nellie Golar, Mary Farris, Hazel Spencer, Rita Graves and Lillian Ross; a brother, Malcolm Graves Jr.; a granddaughter, Melody Ashton.  Kathleen was a great supporter of World Vision and throughout her lifetime sponsored four children in order to improve their lives and make the world a better place. The family wishes to thank the VON and all support services that have enabled them to have their mother at home. A very special thank you to Dr. Robert Mullan for his visits and care given to our Mum. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service and reception will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017, Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating. Burial will take in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. Family flowers only by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
