Jim MacInnis

Jim MacInnis – 61, passed away peacefully at home, Sunday, February 26, 2017. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of the late Sedley "Sid" and Goldie (Balsor) MacInnis. Jim enjoyed refinishing furniture for over 25 years in the valley area. He was an avid historian who could talk for hours on the First and Second World Wars as well as local history. Jim was the author of a book on the subject of the Deportation of the Acadians, which can be found in the local library. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his wife Debbie travelling around Nova Scotia. Jim will be dearly missed by his wife, Debbie (Cashin); he was a proud father to his step-son, Ira (Kim) Dean, Calgary; a loving brother to his sisters, JoAnn MacInnis and Judy (Eric) Langille, both of Wolfville and proud uncle to his nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service at Jim’s request. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to a local Royal Canadian Legion Branch or to a charity of choice.
