Matthew David Greene

Matthew David Greene - 42, of Alberta, formerly of Nova Scotia, passed away suddenly on February 27, 2017. Born in Kentville, Kings County, he was a son of David Greene, White Rock and Karen (Lindsay) (Greene) Munro, Alberta.  Matthew was a devoted father, son, brother and grandson. His family and many friends will greatly miss and remember his kind heart, his beautiful smile and his sense of humour. He love to cruise around on his motorbike and was an animal lover, especially dogs.  He was employed with the City of Fort Mac, Alberta and a Master Mason with the FRMO.  Besides his parents and step father, Alan Munro, he is survived by his daughter, Deedra Greene, Oxford, NS and son, Brayden Greene, Oxford, NS; their mom, Elizabeth MacDonald; one sister, Sherry (Gary Laird), Nictaux and one brother, Damen Greene, Mexico; nieces, Megan Fleming and Seaira Hazelton; nephews, Dylan Fleming and Gairett Hazelton, all of Nictaux; great nephew, Hunter Keddy-Fleming; grandparents, Russell and Ann Lindsay, Cambridge, NS; grandmother, Cassie Greene, White Rock, NS; several aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was predeceased by grandfather, Samuel Greene. Visitation will be held  from 2-4 p.m. with a Kentville Masonic Lodge service to be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2017 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017, Reverend John Andrew officiating.  Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
