Andrew Ray Tibert

Andrew Ray Tibert – 58, of Central Grove, Long Island, Digby County, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in St. Catharines, Ontario, he was a son of the late Tillman and Freda (Elliott) Tibert. Andrew loved the outdoors, nature, gardening, music and animals, especially his cats. He is survived by four sisters, Brenda Deaves (Charles Davey), St. Catharines; Diana (Gord) Jones, St. Catharines; Sheryl Crocker, Calgary; Joanne (Billy) Howard, Freeport; three brothers, James, Central Grove; Richard (Rita), Kentville; Ross, Halifax; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Fred Deaves; a nephew, Neil Tibert. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A celebration of Andrew’s life, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017 in the Freeport Baptist Church, Reverend Craig Glavin officiating. Scattering of Andrew’s cremated remains will take place at a later date at Tibert’s Landing, Central Grove. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
