Reginald Gordon "Reg" Warrington

1952-2017

Reginald Gordon "Reg" Warrington

Reginald Gordon Warrington – 64, of New Minas. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and everyone's friend 'Big Daddy Reg' on March 6, 2017. Reg was the true definition of someone who lived life to the fullest, enjoyed every moment, was always smiling and had a story to tell. No matter how well he knew you, you'd always be greeted with a huge hug and he'd be showing pictures of his grandchildren, while proudly telling you about his children's accomplishments. There are very few people who didn't know Reg - the Valley Legend - and his scooter, who were constant fixtures around town. Born in April, 1952 to Barbara Elizabeth (Young) and Reginald Arthur Warrington, Reg grew up in Liverpool, NS before moving to the valley area, spending his entire adult life between the communities of Kentville and New Minas. He is survived by his son, John; daughter, Ashley; daughter-in-law, Jen; grandchildren, Chase, Michael and Chloe Rae; close friends, Chris Fraser and Bruce Whalen, along with many others. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. followed by a service on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., all in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Pastor James Haughn will officiate. A reception will follow in true 'Big Reg Style' at Westside Charlie's in New Minas. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, it was Reg's wish that donations be made to an education fund at RBC (02125-5019971) for his two grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
