Marvin Anthony Smith

Marvin Anthony Smith – 60, of White Rock, Kings County, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at home. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of Ida Mae (Levy) Smith, Wolfville Nursing Home and the late Kenneth Smith. He was a well-known electrician, respected by many. He was an avid woodsman, who enjoyed his Wood-Mizer sawmill and working in the woods. He was set in his ways and had a big heart. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Rachel Smith (Justin Church), Avonport, and her mother, Pam (Vaughan) Smith, Weymouth; three brothers, Ashley (Sue), Bridgewater; Paul (Heather), White Rock and Kevin (Jackie), Do Ha, Qatar; a brother-in-law, Andy Gillis, Wolfville; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a sister, Karen Gillis; an infant brother, Kirby. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request. There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 11:00 am in the White Rock Cemetery, Kings County. A celebration of life will be held from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm in the family home, 1796 Deep Hollow Road, White Rock, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Red Cross. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
