Foster DeWitt "Woody" Wood

Foster DeWitt "Woody" Wood – 75, of Kentville, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Glenmont, Kings County, he was a son of the late David and Annie (Oakden) Wood. He was a "Jack of all trades", who had a great love for hunting, fishing, baseball and bowling. He is survived by his wife, Valetta (Fraser); three daughters, Sherry (Chris), Mary-Ann (George) and Tara (Carl); a son, Richard (Suzanne); a sister, Myrna; a brother, Shirley; 12 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant son, Mark; a sister, Mildred; two brothers, Harold and William and an infant brother, Vilroy. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2017 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. There will be no funeral service by request.  Donations in memory may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
