Marilyn Louise Harris

Marilyn Louise Harris – 65, of Greenfield, Kings County, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, with her family by her side. Born in Wolfville, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Jeanette (Walsh) Davidson. She had been employed for more than 25 years with the Town of Wolfville Parks and Recreation Department. Marilyn was well known for her great strength as well as her kind and gentle heart. She is survived by three daughters, Heather (Gerald) Curry, New Minas; Rebecca (Matt) Miller-Small, Ontario; Melissa (Jamie) Jodrey, Steam Mill; a son, Leonard (Aaron) Miller, Port Hardy, BC; a step-son, Dwayne Harris, West Brooklyn and his son, Tyler Harris, Halifax; six sisters, Patricia Davidson, Aylesford; Sonia Atwell, Forest Hill; Donna Davidson, Centreville; Paulette Harris, Kentville; Jane Hazel, New Minas; Brenda Brown, Greenfield; two brothers, Avon Davidson, Greenfield; Floyd Davidson, Wolfville; 17 grandchildren, Brandon, Reghan, Mitchell, Lyam, Kaelon, Brekyn, Rebecca, Summer, Avary, Mason, Kiara, Gaige, Dylan, Jensen, Zachary, Emma and Khloe. She was predeceased by her husband, Waldo. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Ellen Hunt officiating. Burial will take place in the Gaspereau Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
