Hazel Louise  Keddy

Hazel Louise (Jarvis) Keddy - 91, Aylesford, Kings Co., passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017, surrounded by her loved ones, in the Valley Regional Hospital.  Born in Aylesford, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Uila (Ellis) Jarvis. She was a member of Kingston East Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.  Hazel became a very independent and self sufficient lady who was a dedicated worker and finished her employment years retiring from Scotian Gold.  She had a great sense of humor and you would be hard pressed to beat her at a good game of checkers.  Hazel was of a quiet demeanor and was very dedicated to her faith.  She loved to putter around in her garden and knit in her spare time.  Hazel is survived by four sons, Wane, Vancouver, Washington; Winfred (Sandra), Victoria Harbour; Troy (Mary Melanson); Bradley (Maryann Aloisi), Aylesford; two daughters, Doreen (Sandy) MacLellan, Aylesford and Myrna (Leslie) Hayes, Cambridge, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister Vera Hunt and brother Harold Jarvis. Visitation will be held 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, April 30, in White Family Funeral Home, Kentville.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, May 1, in the Kingston East Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, with Mr. Philip Spinney officiating, followed by a reception.  A private burial will take place at Aylesford Union Cemetery following the reception.  Donations in her memory may be made to Annapolis Valley VON, Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
