Linda Diane Manning

1951-2017

Linda Diane Manning

It is with sad hearts that the family of Linda Diane Manning announce her sudden passing on April 27, 2017 at age 66 in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. Born in Fredericton Junction, New Brunswick, she was a daughter of the late William and Christina (MacKinnon) Jones. She was predeceased by a brother, Arthur Jones and a nephew Andrew Jones. She worked for more than three decades in the retail sales and customer service industry, retiring from the Toronto Dominion Bank in Kentville, Nova Scotia in 2003.  Linda was a devoted family member and friend, providing support and encouragement to those closest to her wherever she could.  She was known for her generosity and kindness, hosting numerous celebrations for family and friends. Everyone who enjoyed a meal in Linda’s home would leave with their appetite and sense of humour satisfied.  She considered her children to be her greatest achievement, taking pride in all their accomplishments. She was a dedicated grandmother and made spoiling her grandchildren a fine art. Left to cherish her memory is her son Scott William (Roxanne) Manning of Middle Sackville, Nova Scotia, daughter Vicki Lynn Manning of Toronto, Ontario, and their father, Albert Manning; two granddaughters, Lauren and Rachael Manning; and her partner, Jim Sarty and his sons, Ryan and Cody. She is also survived by two brothers, Paul (Shirley) Jones, Chilliwack, British Columbia and Don (Clare) Jones, Riverview, New Brunswick; four sisters: Pearl Pillsworth, Woodstock, New Brunswick, Grace (Darel) Reimer, Fredericton, New Brunswick, Isabel Harper, Fredericton, New Brunswick, and  Shirley (Austin) Estabrooks, Waterville, New Brunswick; a sister-in-law, Annie Jones, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, May 8, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service will be held at the Tracy United Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Jim Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at the Tracy Cemetery.
