Thomas "David" Stirling

Thomas "David" Stirling – 87, of Upper Canard, Kings County, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Greenwich, Kings County, he was a son of the late Alexander and Jennie (Tamplin) Stirling. He is survived by his wife, the former Barbara Yeaton; three daughters, Patricia (David) Gowland, Woodville; Ann (Phil) Lockhart, Kentville and Muriel Stirling, Centreville; three sons, Russell (Jeannie) Cape Breton; Stephen (Sherry), Centreville and Mark (Debbie), Centreville; one daughter-in-law, Ruth-Ann, Canard; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Sandy Bishop, Greenwich and Maryann Cogswell, Port Williams; brother, Rob, Wolfville; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Thomas; brothers, J.D., Harold and Ralph. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request. A private family graveside service was held in the Canard Burial Ground, Canard, Kings County, Reverend Laird Stirling officiated. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Alzheimer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville, Nova Scotia.
