Ronald Vincent Bond

Ronald Vincent Bond – 76, of Lakeville, Kings County, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Vincent and Lillian (Meisner) Bond. He had been employed with Canard Poultry, worked on various farms and picked apples and pruned trees for George Foote. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and walking through the woods with Ethel in the winter time. Ronald also enjoyed working with his daughter, Nancy at the Scotian Gold Tree Nursery. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Ethel (Zwicker); a daughter, Nancy Piercey (Larry Walsh), Kingston; a son, Ronnie Lee, Wolfville; a step-son, Lawrence (Tammy) Price, Oromocto, New Brunswick; five sisters, Lottie (Clifford) Johnstone, Lakeville; Bertha Goucher, Cambridge; Evelyn (Bill) Powell, Lakeville; Irene (John) Evereds, Waterville; Linda (Garnet) Lenihan, Lakeville; a brother, Carl (Carol), Aylesford Lake; two grandchildren, Joseph and April Huntley; a step-granddaughter, Martina; a great grandson, Anthony Huntley; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Betty. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. There will be no visitation by request. A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County. Family flowers only by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville, Nova Scotia.
