Harold Cecil Keddy

Harold Cecil Keddy – 88, of Billtown, Kings County, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017. Born, raised and passed away in the family home at Keddy’s Corner, he was a son of the late Harry and Fannie (Parker) Keddy. He was a lifelong farmer and trucker and together with his late brother, Erwin, owned and operated H. E. Keddy Brothers Ltd. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and RVing. He loved his dogs. He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Borden); two daughters, Sheryl Keddy, Cambridge; Laurene (Morgan) Snow, Berwick; a son, Greg (Bonnie Levy), Keddy’s Corner; three grandchildren, Amanda, Brittany and Peter; two great grandchildren, Ayden and Cohen. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by a sister, Verna (Jack) Storrie; two brothers, Ivan (in infancy) and Erwin. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Pastor Christoph Deutschmann officiating. A private family burial will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Red Cross, the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses, the Billtown Baptist Church or the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville, Nova Scotia.
