Rita Gladys Adams

Rita Gladys Adams – 70, of Lakewood Road, Centreville, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville, and raised in Scotts Bay, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late Earl Welton Bennett and Gladys (Houghton) Bennett. She had been employed as a clerk with Sawlor Fuels, Somerset. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend, and especially loved her sweetheart grandson, Logan, who was the light of her life. She enjoyed music, especially playing the guitar. She was also very fond of her dog, Sammy and her two cats, Annie and Missy. She is survived by two sons, Robin (Will Barry), Centreville, Kings County; Nicholas (April Schofield), Steam Mill, Kings County; seven sisters, Jean Tupper, Florida; Juanita (Howard) Huntley, New Minas; Linda Frail, Bridgewater; Brenda (Waldon) Carty, Grafton; Debora (Lawrence) Gauthier, Charlottetown; Katherine (Peter) Ball, Kentville; Darlene Bennett, Ontario; three brothers, Bernard (Karen), Winnipeg; Earl "Lewis" (Linda), Middleton; Bradford, Port Williams; a grandson, Logan; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lindsay Leroy Adams; an infant son, Trevor; a sister, Carol Rafuse; a brother, Robert; a brother-in-law, Darrell Frail. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 17, 2017 in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the Estate of Rita Adams. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville, Nova Scotia.
