Sherry Lee  Churchill

Sherry Lee Churchill - died suddenly at home on July 15, 2017. She was 50 years old.

 

The adopted daughter of Paul and Joyce (Coldwell) Walsh of New Minas, NS, Sherry was a graduate of the old Horton High School in Greenwich (1985), where she excelled in athletics. After a part-year at Acadia University, she married Chris Churchill, and had their sweet daughter, Christina. Later in life she became the proud mother of son, Garrison. She loved her daughter and son; they were her world. 

 

Sherry is predeceased by her parents, and is survived by her sister, Shelly (Sean) Taylor of New Minas; half-sister, Stephanie Landry, Berwick; daughter, Christina (fiancé, Ryley Braun) of Alberta; son, Garrison Wolfville; former husbands, Chris Churchill, and Peter Faller, both of Alberta; as well as her birth-parents in Nova Scotia.

 

She loved helping people look their very best, working in various clothing boutiques and spas (including Phamtastic Nails in Calgary), and most recently as a well-known and successful Cosmetician at the Wolfville Shopper's Drug Mart. 

 

Recently, Sherry was a Sunday School teacher and member of the Wolfville Baptist Church. An energetic and outgoing person, Sherry had many friends and acquaintances. She will be deeply missed.

 

Visitation will take place Thursday, July 20th, 6-8pm at the White Family Funeral Home, 100 Cornwallis Street, Kentville. The funeral will take place on Friday, July 21, 2017, 11:00am at the Wolfville Baptist Church on Main Street across from Clock Park. The service will be led by Acadia Chaplain the Reverend Tim McFarland. All are welcome to attend, with a reception at the church to follow. There will be a private internment. 

 

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Chrysalis House, Kentville, NS, or the Kings County Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville, Nova Scotia.
