Frederick "Arnold" Justason

Frederick "Arnold" Justason – 56, of Kentville, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 at home. Born in Fredericton, he was a son of Paul and Josephine "Josie" (Johnstone) Justason, Kentville. He was employed at Joe’s Food Emporium, Wolfville for 28 years. He enjoyed cooking, hunting and fishing for bass. He also enjoyed darts, crib and his daily visit to Tim Horton’s. After becoming a double leg amputee in recent years, Arnold still remained active and could often be seen travelling on his scooter. He also volunteered at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. In addition to his parents, he is survived by four sisters, Debbie (Paul) Graves, Canning; Wendy Justason (Glenn Schofield), Kentville; Grace (Charles) LeBlanc, South Alton; Jennifer Dunn, Aldershot; several nieces, nephews and cousins; very special niece, Abigale Hill, New Minas; long-time friend, Joe Rafih, Wolfville. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2017 in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County, Reverend Thelma McLeod officiating. A reception will follow in the Meadow View Community Centre. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Rotary Club of Kentville. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
